  • Notification for the upcoming event is anticipated to be released between June and July 2024. 
  • Applicants will have 30 days from the notification release date to submit their applications. 
  • The preliminary exam is scheduled to take place between October and November 2024,
  • Followed by the main exam in February and March 2025. 
  • Interviews are expected to occur around mid-2025.

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

  • Interviews are anticipated to take place in the middle of 2025. 
  • Updates on CAT 2025 Registration Exam Structure and the Selection Procedure There are three steps in the exam selection process.
  • The preliminary exam, a screening test with objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs), is the first step. 
  • It consists of two papers: Paper 1, which has 120 questions worth 120 marks and covers general studies, and Paper 2, which has 120 questions worth 120 marks and assesses general aptitude. 
  • Although there are 240 total points for this stage, only Paper 1 scores are taken into account for the cutoff. Additionally, 
  • Each incorrect response results in a 0.33 mark deduction under the negative marking system.
  • The interview, which evaluates the candidates’ personalities, is the last step. The Mains Exam, which has a total score of 825, is part of Stage 2. 
  • The four papers totaling 600 marks are Paper 1: English (Essay, Comprehension, Precis) for 150 marks, 
  • Paper 2: Telugu (Essay, Comprehension, Translation) for 150 marks, and Papers 3-6: General Studies. 
  • The descriptive portion has a total score of 750. The third step is the interview, which is worth 75 points and is used to evaluate communication and personality traits.
