Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 65% marks (UR/EWS/OBC) and 55% marks (SC/ST/PwBD).
• Candidates in the final year of their Engineering degree may also apply.
• All qualifications must be from UGC/AICTE-recognized universities or institutions.

Essential Disciplines

• Mechanical: Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical: Electrical/Power/Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Chemical: Chemical Engineering/M.Tech in Applied Chemistry

Desirable Qualification

Candidates must have qualified GATE 2025 in the relevant discipline (ME, EE, CH) with marks above the qualifying cutoff.

Salary / Pay Scale

• During training: Rs. 40,000 – 3% – 1,40,000/- per month.
• After training: Absorption as Assistant Manager (E1 Grade) with Rs. 60,000 – 3% – 1,80,000/- scale.
• Additional benefits include DA, accommodation, PRP, medical, and superannuation benefits as per company rules.

Age Limit (as on 22/01/2026)

• Maximum Age: 30 years
• SC/ST: +5 years | OBC (NCL): +3 years
• PwBD (UR): +10 years | PwBD (OBC): +13 years | PwBD (SC/ST): +15 years
• No upper age limit for departmental candidates.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on GATE 2025 scores and a Personal Interview.
• Weightage: GATE 2025 Marks – 90%, Interview – 10%.
• Candidates will be shortlisted discipline-wise and category-wise in a 1:10 ratio.

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
• Reservations and relaxations as per Government of India guidelines.
• PwBD candidates must have 40% or more disability.
• Selected candidates will sign a service agreement bond of Rs. 3–4 lakhs to serve NALCO for a minimum of 4 years after training.
