Dr. S. R. Ranganathan is called the father of Indian library science. He was born on 12 August 1892 in Shiali, Madras (presently Chennai).
Dr. Ranganathan wrote over 25 books in the field of library science, including Library Classification, Colon Classification, Reference Service, and others. In this article, we will learn about all of his books and the years they were published.
Ranganathan was educated at Hindu High School, Teachers College, Saidapet in Shia. At Madras Christian College, he did his B.A. in Mathematics in 1913 and 1916. a. And m. a. Earned the title.
He served at Government College, Coimbatore in 1917, and Presidency during 1921–23. Ordinance work was done at the College, University of Madras.Â
