The Phoenix Library in Pune

Phoenix Library, established in 1959 by book enthusiast JN Ponda, is renowned for the manner it displays its volumes. Every book features magazine and newspaper clippings that Mr. Ponda has gathered over the years inside the cover that relate to the author, subject, or title of the book.

Fiction, biographies, science, general knowledge, travel, wildlife, humor, and culinary are just a few of the many categories that The Phoenix Library offers. For the super-nerds, they even have back editions of National Geographic and LIFE Magazine! In the Limca Book of Records, the unique library is recognized as the “Only Library with Clippings in Books.”
