State Central Library in Hyderabad. On the banks of the Musi River in Afzal Gunj, the library is situated. It displays 500,000 books and periodicals, including some priceless manuscripts on Palm leaves. The state’s library system is capped off by this facility. The building was constructed in 1891. It is one of the largest monuments in the city and was given a heritage site designation by INTACH, Hyderabad, in 1998.
With the help of the Universal Online Library Projects at Carnegie Mellon University, SCL has already scanned more than 40,000 volumes. Digitised titles are available in Hindi, English, Telugu, Urdu, and Persian.
