Candidates must register on the Apprenticeship site www.nats.education.gov.in prior to applying for apprenticeship training in the bank, starting from 22-09-2025, if they have not registered previously.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 20 Years

Maximum Age: 28 Years
Candidates must have been born between 01.09.1997 and 01.09.2005, inclusive.

Qualification

A degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification acknowledged by the Central Government. Candidates must have completed their graduation between 01.01.2022 and 01.09.2025, inclusive of both dates.

Salary

The apprentice shall receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000/- (inclusive of any government subsidies from the Government of India) for the duration of the apprenticeship training. The apprentices are ineligible for any additional allowances or benefits.
Canara Bank would deposit ₹10,500 into the apprentices’ accounts monthly. The government’s portion of the stipend, amounting to Rs. 4500, would be directly deposited into the apprentice’s bank account using the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) method in accordance with current regulations.
The stipend will be disbursed to apprentices monthly, subsequent to the adjustment of any loss of pay.

Selection Procedure

Assessment of regional dialect
Candidates presenting a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate that verifies their study of the designated local language will be exempt from the local language test.
The assessment of local language proficiency will be incorporated into the selection process for other candidates. The procedure will occur when the candidate is summoned for document verification by the bank.
Candidates who do not pass this test will not be considered for apprenticeship.


Physiological/Medical fitness


The engagement of selected apprentices is contingent on their being deemed medically fit according to the bank’s requirements.


Criteria for Qualification


The merit list for applicants who have applied will be compiled state-wise in descending order based on the marks or percentage achieved in the 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma Examination.
If many applicants possess identical percentages, they will be sorted in descending order based on their age in the merit list.
The minimum qualifying marks shall not be below 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) in the 12th Standard (HSC/10+2)/Diploma Examination.
The resulting percentage will be truncated; for instance, 59.99% will be considered less than 60%, and 54.99% will be regarded as less than 55%, rendering candidates ineligible for the subject selection process.
The merit list will be compiled solely based on the information provided by the candidate in the online application. Any discrepancies identified during document verification will result in immediate disqualification of the application.

Application Procedure


Candidates must submit their applications online from September 23, 2025, to October 12, 2025, via the link available on the bank’s website, www.canarabank.bank.in—Careers—Recruitment—Engagement of Graduate Apprentices at Canara Bank under the Apprentices Act of 1961 for the fiscal year 2025-26; no alternative application methods will be considered.
The candidate must provide their enrollment ID, generated upon application on the NATS portal, while applying for training positions.

Requirements for Online Application:


Scan: Photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm), Signature, Left thumbprint, Handwritten declaration
Signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS will be rejected.

The photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration must be properly scanned and free from smudges or blurriness.

The aforementioned handwritten declaration must be in the candidate’s handwriting, exclusively in English, and must NOT be in CAPITAL LETTERS. If authored by another individual or in a different language, the application will be deemed void.
