1. Nepal National Library
In 1957, the Nepal National Library was founded. This library is currently the copyright library run by the Nepali government’s Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. This library is located next to the UN facility in Pulchok, Lalitpur.
Approximately 84,000 volumes of books, periodicals, and other resources are available at this library in a variety of languages, including Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and Nepali. Nevertheless, as of right present, loan and membership services are not available.

2. Kaiser Library
In 1907, Kaiser Shumsher Rana, the son of Chandra Shumsher, founded the Kaiser Library. This public library is currently managed by the government and is situated in Kanti Path’s Kaiser Mahal royal complex.

There are several rare and antiquated works about Tantrism, astrology, and Buddhism in this collection. But, as there is no membership option, it is not possible to check out books or other resources from this library.

3. Kathmandu Valley Public Library
On July 9, 2005, the Kathmandu Valley Public Library (KVPL) was founded. It is situated close to several colleges in Bhrikutimandap. More than 60,000 books, reports, and magazines authored in Hindi, Nepali, Sanskrit, and Newari are housed in the KVPL collection.
There are two buildings there. The new block offers book reading, e-library, and newspaper reading facilities in addition to book lending. In the original building is an information desk and a separate area for kids.

One must be a member of this library in order to check out books. An initial security deposit of Rs 1,000 is required in addition to the Rs 300 annual membership cost.
4. AWON Library
Previously, the Active Women of Nepal (AWON) ran the AWON Library out of a two-story structure in Kupondole. The Rotary Club of Kathmandu currently runs this library as the Rotary AWON library at the Rotary Hall in Thapathali.

There are a lot of books in this library from different subjects. These books are all donations. The annual membership dues range from Rs 600 to Rs 1,200.

5. The Wisdom Point
In 2018, The Wisdom Point opened for business. This public library is housed in a two-story structure in the Naya Baneshwar grounds of Jagan Nath Bhawan. The Softwarica IT & Editorial Club is the organization behind this resource.

In this library, there are more than 2,000 books covering a variety of topics. The computers and wi-fi in this library are also available to members. To become a member, one must pay dues that range from Rs 100 to Rs 500. As of right moment.
6. Nepal Bharat Library
In 1956, the Nepal Bharat Library was founded. This library is currently located on New Road in the NAC (Nepal Airlines Corporation) building. Since the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is in charge of its management, this library is commonly referred to as the Indian Library.
This library has around 62,000 books in addition to the major newspapers and magazines published in Nepal and India. This is a knowledge hub for numerous topics related to Indian history, politics, literature, economy, society, and medicine. This library charges an annual membership fee of Rs 100 along with a refundable security deposit of Rs 1,000. The public is not now able to access the library.

7. American Centre
The American Library, also known as the American Center, is housed inside the US Embassy in Maharajgunj, Nepal. The Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy founded this library in 1952. The American Spaces offer more than just the library service.

More than 6,000 publications, including business books, non-fiction books, American novels, English language study resources, and much more, are available in this library. In addition, it houses eLibraryUSA, a large collection of American journals, documentaries, and films. This library charges annual membership fees ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 300. The public is not currently able to use this library.

8. Innovation Hub Kathmandu
The Hub for Innovation American Space, often referred to as I-Hub in Kathmandu, is a public library housed in the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce (FNCCI) building on Sahid Shukra Marg in Teku. The FNCCI and the U Embassy in Kathmandu work together to manage this library.

10. Nepal-Japan Children Library
The Kathmandu metropolitan metropolis in Lainchaur provided space for the establishment of the Nepal-Japan Children Library in May 2001.
